Myers re-appointed to state board
BATON ROUGE – Terry L. Myers of Iowa, La, was reappointed to the Louisiana Board of Real Estate Appraisers by Governor John Bel Edwards.
The mission of the board is to serve and protect the public interest in all activities related to real estate appraisal through the fair and equitable administration and enforcement of the Louisiana Real Estate Appraisers Act, program development education that promote the advancement of the real estate appraisal industry; and the adoption of regulations and standards that strengthen the role of the real estate expert in the performance of objective and impartial appraisals. Our goal is to ensure that real estate appraisal services are provided to residents of Louisiana by qualified and knowledgeable practitioners who adhere to the law, rules and established professional standards.
Myers is the president of Terry Myers Appraisal Services LLC. He will represent the 3rd District of Congress as a residential assessor.
Lanier appointed new director
KENNER – Rick Lanier of Lanier Plumbing in Lake Charles has been named the Lake Charles District Director of Louisiana Plumbing-Heating-Cooling Contractors. Louisiana Plumbing Heating and Cooling Contractors are dedicated to the promotion, advancement, education and training of our industry, as well as the protection of the health and safety of the public.
Cowart Head of Digital Sales
Nadia Cowart has been appointed Digital Sales Manager for Cumulus Beaumont / Lake Charles.
Cowart previously served as Promotion Manager for Cumulus Beaumont / Lake Charles from 2002 to 2008, and joined the company from KBMT-KJAC12 News in Beaumont, where she was Marketing Director.
Originally from Southeast Texas, Cowart has over 20 years of experience helping the growth of businesses and communities in the region. She obtained a bachelor’s degree in commerce from the UTMB.
Bowers wins Young Banker Award
The First Federal Bank of Louisiana is delighted to announce that Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer Mallie Bower has been recognized by the Louisiana Bankers Association with its annual Young Banker Impact Award.
This award recognizes young bankers from across Louisiana who have an impact on the banking industry.
“Mallie is a rising star in our organization,” commented Bank President Sam Wilkinson. “Beyond her role as Director of Human Resources, she coordinates innovative events for our employees and focuses on expanding our diversity and inclusion at the Bank. “
Mallie and the other four winners will be honored at a luncheon on November 30 in Baton Rouge.
