CASTLE HAYNE, NC, Aug. 23, 2022 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — North Carolina Regional MLS (NCRMLS), one of North Carolina’s largest and most recognized multi-listing services, will fully integrate the BrokerBay’s interactive 3D virtual presentations in its core product offerings as a new benefit for its realtors and appraisers.

Working with BrokerBay, Matterport and iGUIDE, NCRMLS will pioneer the industry’s first MLS virtual presentation service system. As a result, NCRMLS realtors can schedule and invite their clients to meet virtually in a 3D guided tour directly through MLS. The 3D guided tour is not your typical 3D virtual tour; our 3D tours allow real estate agents to chat live with their clients around the world, regardless of location and time of day.

Real estate photos have always been one of the essential pieces for showcasing MLS homes. According to research by the National Association of Realtors, photos are the #1 feature consumers look for when shopping for a home. However, real estate photography is changing due to the online needs of the buyer. Although necessary for any listing, static images of properties have limitations. Although the photos entice buyers to see the home in person, they don’t give them a clear sense of its space or perspective. Allowing a homebuyer and real estate agent to explore life in a home using the internet starts with a 3D virtual tour and floor plan.

Buyers today expect to explore and discover homes online at all stages of the buying process. More homes are being sold remotely than ever, and NAR reports that more than three in four buyers want a more virtual experience. Virtual display tools are set to be a revolutionary solution, transforming time management as they allow real estate agents to show properties more effectively and efficiently.

“This virtual tour feature will streamline the buying process,” said Jody Wainio, 2022 President of NCRMLS. “It gives our realtors an essential tool when working with a remote buyer. Plus, it qualifies buyers, benefiting everyone by making it more efficient. Buyers and realtors don’t have to worry about unnecessary trips by visiting unqualified homes when searching.Meanwhile, sellers don’t have to worry about being moved by indifferent buyers. It’s a real win-win use of technology modern.

Matterport and iGUIDE capture much of the data required for the realtor in a single visit, including a 3D tour, 360° images, room dimensions, photos, social media assets and floor plan. specific floor. The importance of accurate floor plans and their value on a listing is invaluable. Floor plan demand continues to grow rapidly, fueled by Fannie Mae’s recent move requiring a floor plan for their office appraisals. Consumers want the most accurate floor plan, which NAR ranks as the third most important search feature for buyers, that is available in the NCRMLS virtual tour system.

“North Carolina has been an industry pioneer in mandating the requirement for measurement standards such as ANSI Z765 statewide to facilitate accurate square footage reporting in real estate. Now, NCRMLS (North Carolina Regional Multiple Listing Service) is taking another big step forward in promoting the use of modern technology like 3D tours and floor plans integrated into virtual tours to help agents better connect with consumers so purchasing decisions can be made faster and with more confidence,” said Alex Likholyot, CEO of Planitar Inc., maker of iGUIDE. “We are very excited about this announcement. Our iGUIDE technology not only delivers 3D tours with the most intuitive floor plan-based navigation for virtual tours, it also provides extremely accurate square footage reporting with 1% or greater uncertainty in living areas gross reported.

“We provide the essential tools that buyers and sellers of our real estate agents demand,” said Daniel Jones, CEO of NCRMLS. “Numbers from the recent Matterport study speak for themselves, as 90% of buyers are compelled to buy a home with a virtual tour, and 99% of sellers believe a virtual tour gives them a marketing advantage in today’s market. therefore, it is time to provide a more modern projection option.”

NCRMLS expects a dramatic increase in demand for 3D virtual tours and floor plans, as its new relationship with Matterport and iGUIDE will make it easy for its photographers and realtors to receive the training and equipment required.

“NCRMLS recognized an evolving trend in the marketplace where today’s buyers want a more immersive digital home shopping experience. They see the value and power that dimensionally accurate, high-resolution 3D virtual tours, what we call Digital Twins, can bring to real estate professionals and their clients,” said Bernard Nguyen, Senior Director of Business Strategy , Residential Real Estate at Matterport. “With our extremely robust Matterport platform, agents and photographers can quickly generate high-fidelity virtual tours and floor plans. From our high-end Pro Series cameras to our recently announced Axis motorized smartphone mount , we’ve made scanning properties easy and accessible. These tools are helping more and more real estate professionals improve the real estate transaction experience, allowing sellers and buyers to make more informed decisions.

Realtors now have the choice of doing it themselves or hiring a professional through the NCRMLS Directory of Real Estate Photographers. NCRMLS’ new Photographer Directory streamlines the realtor’s workflow, allowing the photographer to upload listing images directly into the MLS. Additionally, it will improve the connection between NCRMLS’ 11,800 real estate agents and professional photographers through the experience and expertise of 3D tours and floor plans in the 48 counties that NCRMLS serves.

NCRMLS notes that its new partnership with BrokerBay gives its member subscribers access to a presentation service solution with the most advanced features.
