Varma – Sampsa Ratia was appointed director in charge of real estate investments at Varma, Finland’s second largest pension insurance mutual, replacing Ilkka Tomperi, who in May announced her departure for a new job with Finnish urban developer YIT. Ratia, who will take up her post at Varma on August 16, previously worked for Before, Lease Green, Corbel and Aberdeen and other companies.
Company of Ravens Trammell – The commercial real estate promotion and investment company has appointed Maite Inglis Director of France and Benelux operations. She will assist in the development of industrial logistics and the company’s investment initiatives in France and the Benelux, including all aspects of the development and investment process, economic analysis of land acquisitions and assets, capital structuring, market studies, feasibility analysis, due diligence, leasing and disposal. Before joining TCC, Inglis was previously Director of Operations for France and Benelux for Logistics Park P3 and held various management positions at Prologis France and Gazeley Properties.
Main Real estate investors – Salika khizer has been appointed general manager of real estate marketing. Khizer will be responsible for partnering with the real estate portfolio management teams, as well as sales and advisory relationships, in order to raise capital for the company’s US and European private real estate products, global real estate and securities of infrastructure. Before joining Principal, Salika worked at Walker & Dunlop Investment Partners as director of capital formation. Prior to that, Salika was Vice President of the CIM Group. Prior to that she was Managing Director at Institutional Real Estate where she focused on business development with pension funds, endowments, foundations, family offices, insurance companies, consultants and investors Taft- Hartley.
LaSalle Investment Management – Beverley Kilbride will lead the new European transactions and asset management unit of the global real estate investment manager. As part of the reforms, team members will focus on specific services and local markets, with four transaction managers reporting directly to Kilbride: JÃ©rÃ´me Hamelin, Andreas Wesner, Francesco Coviello and Robin James, who will respectively be responsible for all acquisitions and sales in Western Continental Europe, Northern Continental Europe, Southern Continental Europe and CEE, and UK and Ireland. Jacques-Olivier Gourdon was also appointed Deputy Managing Director for France and will join LaSalle’s French business management committee while retaining his role in sourcing and executing transactions in France.
black stone – Peter Hwang was appointed CEO of DragonCor, a logistics platform in China owned and managed by Blackstone Real Estate funds. Hwang has been joining Blackstone since Iron mountain, a global leader in information management, where he was Managing Director for Asia. Previously he worked for the Zuellig Group as Group Managing Director, Business Development.
Glenhawk – UK specialist mortgage lender has appointed Paul Gavin as Director of Business Development, with responsibility for developing the company’s loan portfolio in the Midlands, the North of England and Scotland. Gavin will be responsible for promoting Glenhawk’s expanding product offering in the regions to intermediaries, professional introducers and direct customers, including its regulated bridging product which launched late last year. He joins Glenhawk from SH Credit and before this capital Oblix and Amicus. Gavin previously spent 11 years at the Bank of Ireland, where he was part of the team tasked with reducing leverage on a Â£ 5bn loan portfolio to Â£ 500m, before his transfer from the Great Britain to Northern Ireland.
VIA points of sale – Owner-operator of premium fashion destinations in Europe has appointed Jaap Tonckens as an advisor to its board of directors. Tonckens brings more than 25 years of global experience in the real estate and finance industries, having recently spent 11 years at Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield, including more than eight years as Group Chief Financial Officer, where he was also a member of its management board. Prior to Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield, Tonckens spent over 14 years with Morgan Stanley in London and New York, most recently as Managing Director of its leveraged finance team. Tonckens was also recently appointed adviser to the board of directors of Dutch lifestyle and hotel company citizenM.
Kingstone Real Estate – Philippe bach has been appointed head of healthcare transactions within the company’s healthcare, life and healthcare investment platform. Bach joins from Main real estate, where he held the position of Senior Transaction Manager. His past professional background also includes experience as a director at JLL and as a senior investment manager at SEB Asset Management.
Investa – Penny Ransom was appointed CIO, a position previously held by recently appointed CEO Peter Menegazzo. Ransom was previously the group director and responsible for fund management. Jason leong moved from fund manager for Investa Commercial Property Fund to head of fund management. Amy Sauvage has been appointed Chief Operating Officer of the company and will oversee corporate functions including information technology, branding and innovation. Sally franklin assumes the role of COO, real estate. She oversees the group’s real estate operating activities for office and rental construction activities. Brendan Looby and Brennan Wood were appointed fund manager and deputy fund manager respectively to manage the A $ 6 billion Investa Commercial Property fund.
Actis – Jasper lankhorst was appointed CEO of the group’s pan-African data center platform. Lankhorst will be responsible for expanding data centers across the continent to meet Africa’s growing demand for data and digital infrastructure. Lankhorst joins the platform as a data center operator Global switch, where he oversaw the expansion of the additional 32,000 mÂ² data center campus in Amsterdam, one of the Tier 1 markets in Europe.
Corporate Energy – Nuta Chen was appointed CFO, based in Taiwan. David Houlton joins the role of business advisor and economic modeler and Soon as a financial advisor. Chen was CFO of Maiora renewable energy and CFO at Ciel & Terre in Taiwan. She has worked for global financial institutions and multinational corporations including JP Morgan, Fidelity, PwC and Foxconn. Houlton has held positions at BNY Mellon, Deutsche Bank, DWS and Citibank. Shortly before, he held positions at companies such as Shell Business Operation and Ernst & Young.
