The Selkirk Association of Realtors is accepting grant applications for the scholarships to be awarded in June. Applications for this year’s funding must be received at the association’s office by April 15th.
Each year, SAR donates thousands of dollars to local groups in need of funding for their community service-oriented projects and programs in Bonner and Boundary counties. Last year, the organization donated more than $15,500 locally to individuals and groups in Bonner and Boundary counties. The Selkirk Association of Realtors is a not-for-profit organization whose members are real estate agents, appraisers, banks, title companies and other businesses affiliated with the real estate profession. Grant funds are raised only from among its members, not from the general public, through the association’s annual fundraising efforts.
To apply for a grant, contact the Association office at 208-265-2227, go online to selkirkaor.com, email Association Director Stephanie Rief at [email protected], or stop by come to the association’s office, 325 S. Marion Ave, Sandpoint. To be eligible for a grant, groups or organizations must work primarily for the benefit of residents of Bonner County or Boundary County and benefit a large group of people rather than an individual. Projects related to housing issues are strongly encouraged. Groups from any town and/or area in Bonner and Boundary counties are encouraged to seek funding for their projects or issues.
